Utah Christmas 2008

We watched Lindsey Bushman in the Nutcraker, my neice who is 16 and quite the dancer. She was the doll in the production. We saw Grandpa & Grandma Bland before they moved to Indianapolis at Gary Bland's place in Ogden.

I made a picture family tree for my Mom for Christmas. Clint & Jonathan the sports buffs got their BYU jerseys for Christmas. Pictured off to the left is all four of us at the 4 corners. I am standing in Arizona, Jonathan is in Utah, Erica in New Mexico and Clint in Colorado. We are on the corner geological surveyed spot baby!!! We can be 4 places at once.

Christmas in Utah 2008

We had a great time in Utah for Christmas. Jonathan and Erica learned to ski and snowboard...something that isn't what they see much of in Arkansas. We spent lots of time with family and had a great family reunion up Provo Canyon at the Aspen Grove Family Campground.

September brought changes

We just got our deck roof finished. I love the cedar color when you are standing there looking up at the fans. It is like another room.

Well, life never slows down. The big news is that after 5 great years, Clint was released as bishop. I know he will miss the association with many people, but we didn't even realize just how time he was gone serving until he didn't have that calling anymore. He was called to be scout committe chairman and 11 yr. old scout leader (working with Jonathan). I'm excited they were able to keep him in the ward. They wouldn't dare put him in the stake since I am gone a lot in my stake RS calling doing presentations in Oklahoma, Missouri & Arkansas (our stake).

Erica is going great guns in her junior year. Jonathan started 5th grade at Spring Hill Middle School. He loves it.

I'm teaching a bunch of mostly boys piano. It keeps my skills up.

Still alive

Wow...getting Tyler off to the MTC was harder than I thought, and especially saying goodbye. The spirit of the MTC is incredible...I forgot how powerful. We were so excited to get a letter from him...he sounds like has already grown up. Now, I'm trying to purge the house for a garage sale. I need to lighten up on things in our home and update.

July 10, 2008

Today I got a lot of the house cleaned. Clint left for China yesterday. It has poured rain for two days. The rain hasn't stopped Jonathan from playing in our new above ground pool with his friends, Michelle and Cole. They had lots of fun. I finally had to call them to get out of the pool at 9:30 pm. They asked why...I said , "because it is dark!" Tyler had to work tonight and I think he is worn out from his friends, Taylor Klakring, Peter Arrington and Michael Morrison that were here until 2 am. At one point they were playing frisbee under the streetlight on our corner. Crazy boys!!
I made a list today of everything we need to do to get Tyler ready for his mission...there is a lot to do!!
I sorted tons of stacks of genealogy, entered data on the computer. Tonight I topped off the night with making a card for Kate Wilcox's birthday luncheon tomorrow. So, today was a typical rainy day in Arkansas...and not too hot....just green.
